Thread: Tunnelsbook and Tunnelsmovie Domain Names

Wanting input on the actual value of my domain names.

I own the domain names tunnelsbook.com and tunnelsmovie.com and in my thoughts on getting an appraisal for them I wonder if the appraiser will understand the signifigance of the names.

The issue is the worry about the appraiser not knowing that Tunnels is a book that is due to be released in the US in January of 2008 and has already been billed as the next Harry Potter. The same publisher who discovered J.K. Rowlings and helped make the Harry Potter series a blockbuster has said this book gave him the same feeling and the authors were signed to a six figure multi book deal. The book when self published was titled The Highfield Mole but when Scholastic and Chicken House publishing bought the rights it renamed the series to the official name of its release through them as TUNNELS.

The same with the movie domain name, the book has not even been released worldwide but the movie rights were so highly sought after that they were bought by a production company already with plans to make a series of films based on the books.

An appraiser might look at the domain names and think they are just for use for talking about or information on the earth and digging tunnels or building tunnels when in fact the value of the domain names is to be considered by the potential it has as a much sought after domain. I have had a couple of offers and want to know what others think about the values of these domian names.
