I'm new to ad campaigns and need to know what is an acceptable avg position and what is a profitable cpc that I shouldn't go over.

Do you need to be on the first page or is 2nd & 3rd page o.k as it is much cheaper?

Need to know about the cpc since the quarters can really add up.
