Tunnels is a book that is due to be released in the US in January of 2008 and has already been billed as the next Harry Potter. The same publisher who discovered J.K. Rowlings and helped make the Harry Potter series a blockbuster has said this book gave him the same feeling and the authors were signed to a six figure multi book deal. The book when self published was titled The Highfield Mole but when Scholastic and Chicken House publishing bought the rights it renamed the series to the official name of its release through them as TUNNELS. The book has not even been released worldwide but the movie rights were so highly sought after that they were bought by a production company already with plans to make a series of films based on the books.
