For making things happen? Imagination or Intelligence?

I have known people of both types: those who poses the technical skills to do something but don't really seem to have a clue on how to apply it to anything beyond the known and predictable, and those who scheme and dream and have great ideas but no knowledge of how to make it work.

It seems to me that imagination is the child of curiosity, and though curiosity you gain the ability to apply the knowledge you acquire in a wider variety of venues
