The "Remote Auction Access" allows you to bid from the place you are in the silent and live auctions as well, around 4000 domains there. The bidding mechanism is similar to ebay and you can have phone bidding and proxy bidding. The 499$ fee is deducted from the domain you purchase in the auction. So if you don't like my domain, there are other domains from many people there.
