Ive never owned a dedicated server so I cant give any advice on where to buy and what to do... The idea has crossed my mind before though about trying it sometime, My main thought is about Data Transfer and server power.

I think if you are going to get a server you need to make sure you get something decent... Some of the plans show an Intel Celeron with 512 RAM.., which is fairly good value for money but I wonder if it would be able to run a decent speed server?

Although Im not sure how much money you have to spend, its just that Myself I wouldnt trust an Intel Celeron and 512 RAM to get anything done. I have more RAM in the computer im using now!!

Sorry I think I kinda strayed off topic, but this does interest me.... Anyone who has had a dedicated server, I would be interested to know how powerful it is and how it handles everything.
