Hi, First time posting, long time reading...

i'm just about to take over hosting a website - but i am a little confused, im taking out hosting with a different company - so will need to move all the files from old server to new.

but the domain name - is it better to release the IPS tag? or to change the nameservers? and in either case how would i go about re-newing the domain name?
