Providing support to clients?
Hello,
I'm trying to think of ways I can provide support to my customers and all interested clients, I don't really want to offer too many support methods as that would be too hard to manage and would become a real stress.
In all honesty, I really don't know why web hosts provide support of IM's such as MSN, Yahoo and AIM, I would definitely find it to be a pain having to talk to 10-20 people at the same time 24/7, now wouldn't you?
Let's discuss some easy ways to provide support Let's make the hosting experience a good one, not only for the customers but also for us.
These are some methods I'm looking to offer:
- Support ONLY through Forums
OR
- Support ONLY through E-mail
OR
- Support ONLY through Live chat and/or helpdesk
1) Which of these methods would you prefer?
2) Why do you offer the current methods of support you offer to your customers?
3) How much time do you spend each day attending to support requests?
4) What types of support methods do you think are the best? (Forum, E-mail, etc.)
5) If you're the type of person who is always going out and about or going to school, university, TAFE or whatever, how do you manage?
I'd love to hear your responses!
Many thanks,
Gayble
