Given .travel domains will only be sold to authorized and legitimate travel industry sites, does anyone think there will be a ranking boost given to those sites?
If you owned a travel site, would you purchase .travel domains?

If I owned a travel site, would I purchase a .travel domain? No, I'd personally stick with my current domain, .travel is too long for me to even bother and most travel sites would probably already have "travel" in their name anyways..

i would only think an optimized value would come from a .travel if it was b2b between portals for commerce, ticketing, banking transactions, sabre reservations or whatever where a verifiable named host could only be the qualifier for access to the directory and transactions.
I remember in 96 when industry portals were coming online they were based mostly on profit models and not so much on consumer traffic as it is now.
.travel seems like a long extension to me. Sure it is good if many people already know about it, and surely people will be typing in cruises, etc .travel's so if you are that legitimate source than you might have something there. :)
