Quick Question

I was looking at some domains, and I'm new at the domain name thing... so bear with me. I was wondering if there were any "worthless" domain name, uh, endings? Like: .com, .tv, .nu, .cn, and even .com.cn, .com.org, etc. Do they just lose value when you have a long/weird ending like that?

.com is usually the best extension to use, the others all have different meanings.

.com is always worth the most and what I try to get.

.net/info/de is what I would look at next. Info is what I have the most of after .com. I don't like .net and only have 3 out of 515 domains. The 3 that I do have, I also have them with .com. I have 1 .de which does alright.

Others like .cc, .tv, .ws, ect are basically crap. Unless you can brand it fairly easily, no one cares about them. Check eBay for prices, but you will see $100 .coms, similar .nets for $5 .infos vary (there wasn't a lot of eBay last time I checked) and everything else doesn't sell at all.

.com and .net are your most popular ones. Organizations like to use .org obviously. .us is becoming more popular with US landmark based sites. Every extension will be popular at it's own time. Remember only time will tell. :)

Oh yeah, can't forget about .tv. They are becoming popular, especially with all new TV shows coming out.
