Anybody have any insight into this. I am talking about NL or LL only, not about LL or NN domains.

depends if there is a well known name or brand or term associated with it. it might be a great forum, you could make a logo out of the initials. bb geek did this.

let's just say it is a parked domain- no terms, TM's or branding on it- value based on generic value alone. No traffic assumed.

2 letters is 2 letters. but it's an org. so you have a major plus and a major minus. but still 2 letters. Easy to remember in anylanguage, but a .org not a com. hmmn if i had it and i was not developing it, i would not let it go for less than.....lowXXX.
I would say a LL.org is worth about Mid XXX and a NL.org would be worth about Low XXX. It all depends on the buyer. Two character .com's are worth a fortune.

thats what I thought. I would agree with that. The seller wants high XXX for it, but I can't really agree with the price. If it were a .net that would be a different story, and a .com would have been sold already....

.org is just as good as .net. If you own SC.org then contact
South Creatures Org for selling it to them
You diffenetly deserve more than XXX, try for X,XXX.

First of all, org isn't as good as net. Second, he's buying the domain, not selling it.

well, then i would say it depends what position the seller is in. Christmas is coming up, people will be looking to liquidate. If you could get it for between mid xx and ultralow xxx i would be happy.

that would be ideal, but we also have to keep in mind that it is a NL.org as opposed to a NN.org. If it were a NN.org, I would have no problem with the price; it's just that I have personally never heard of any good 2 char. .org sales, so I don't know the potential in this particular niche.
Well .ORG's aren't as popular as .COM or .NET. That takes away a lot of the value. Many people aren't that used to .ORG so the type-in's for that would be far less than any other domain including .COM or .NET. I think Mid XXX would be fair. Let the seller know that though.

IMO, your two letter .org can potentially go for $xx,xxx if you list it at those biggie domain sale sites like Sedo, Afternic, etc. :) If you do decide to develop it, maybe a redirecting site would be a good idea? ;)

If the two letters stood for something and you found the right buyer, I'd agree.
Even if they didn't stand for something, how many different combinations could you come up with for a two character domain. Not many. Any of them would be worth SOMETHING. X and Z being the lowest of letters would be the ones worth the less.

less than a 1 character domainnname. what happened to those?
I don't think they ever had a 1 character domain name did they? A.com, B.com. If they did, they'd be worth millions.
What is a less than a one character domain? How do you go less than one character?

I remember, I think Sjag, posted that there were only 3 one letter .coms
mystwoman

what were they? too weird.
I didn't think there were any. Too many people in the world, would register them in a heartbeat. When you try and go to a.com, it comes up as nothing. Not even a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" Error.

They cancelled selling one letters after those
i wonder why not the rest....
Probably because they are so rare and valuable. They don't want anyone owning them. If they did send them out they would literally have to sell them at top dollar. Registrars can't do that can they? They can only sell for what ICANN proposes them to sell domains at, which is normally between 4.00 and 9.00.

Ah, there we go. I should of remembered z... nissan has that. X or Q is paypal.
An auction might work, but I don't know if they would do it
mystwoman

sjag what happened to the others?
What is the most used letter in the alphabet? That would probably serve the most purpose, and be worth the most. z.com is Nissan? Wow.

Yeah, they have a z series car.
mystwoman

maybe it would be confusing for the computers
Z series car. That's right! Z.com forwards to Nissan's website though. There are 498 million results in Google for the letter Z with ZMag in first place.
